Chris' congrats for CHFT's trials

Professor Chris Whitty, the Chief Medical Officer for England, has congratulated CHFT for our “outstanding performance” at the forefront of the RECOVERY clinical trials.

We are currently the second best in the country with more than 400 patients recruited to the trial. The RECOVERY trial has led to Dexamethasone being prescribed nationally which has reduced the death rates from COVID.

Alistair Hall, the Clinical Director of the Clinical Research Yorkshire and Humber network, shared Professor Whitty’s congratulations. He said, “I am aware of the many innovative ways in which you are delivering treatment and research and greatly applaud you for them all.”
