A big welcome to this year's second edition of Foundation News.
It is my pleasure to invite you, our members, to our AGM, which this year will be held in our Acre Mills Outpatients building (across the road from HRI). It’s a lovely venue and a real asset for our patients who attend for clinics and treatments there. Amazing, considering not long ago it was a very run down former wire works mill and right in the heart of the community too.
The theme of this year’s AGM is 'Working Together to Improve'. Between 5 pm and 6 pm, colleagues will be showcasing what we're doing as a Trust to improve services for our patients. This will include a look at how the Trust looks after its employees and how they look after each other (as we know that a happy workforce results in better care for patients). This year we opened the doors to our “Cupboard” which sets out all the initiatives and support colleagues working here can expect from us. Here’s a link to it and we'll be showcasing the Cupboard on the night.
At the AGM there will also be the traditional round-up of all the innovations in care here at CHFT, our performance against national targets, our financial position and a summary of the work undertaken by our Governors, for which we are very grateful.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on 17 July. Join us from 5 pm for refreshments - the meeting itself will start at 6 pm. We'll be raising the barrier to the car park behind Acre Mills for the evening, so you'll be able to park there free of charge.
