Going the extra mile and Riley met Jess Glynne

Our staff are renowned for going the extra mile for our patients and the team on the Children's Ward have excelled for Riley Merrill.

Little Riley is a regular CRH attendee for a skin condition and Lola Duncan and the team have gone out of their way to make things special for him.

Through social media they managed to get an upgraded ticket for him to see Jess Glynne - his pop idol - at a concert in Leeds. Jess also invited him backstage to meet her but unfortunately he missed the invitation.

So to make up for it, the team called Jess's agent and they fixed up a facetime message between the two. Riley was expecting a routine appointment and was thrilled when Jess was there on the ipad instead.

They sang Jess's massive hit  "All I Am" together  and reduced the ward to tears as it was so moving.

Watch them here.
