Our Divisional Reference Group meetings are where we bring our governors face to face with our senior team leaders, both clinical and managerial, giving the governors the chance to ask questions about the Trust's performance.
They start around a meeting table then move on to a tour to meet CHFT staff and find out more about the services and care we provide.
Pictured is the tour following the Surgical DRG meeting held in June. Our clinical director and anaesthetist PNT Laloe, second right, was on hand to give a behind-the-scenes informative look around with Operations Manager, Sharon Berry, right.
Other DRGs - held three times per year - cover our Medical, Estates and Facilities, Families and Specialist Services and Community Divisions.
Governor John Richardson's comments about the meeting and the tour were..."Thank you to all concerned for an exellent and informative meeting and for showing us around the theatres and day case unit and also endoscopy. It is great that staff feel comfortable in showing us around and I enjoy seeing things I would not normally get to see. My thanks again to everyone."
** Elections for new governors are held every year in June/July so we will be welcoming our most recent recruits at our AGM. If you would be interested in future years, check out our website: http://www.cht.nhs.uk/about-us/membership-and-the-council-of-governors
